How to Measure your Dog for a Hound Collar
With a measuring tape, measure around your dog's neck where the collar would naturally sit, inserting a couple of your fingers underneath the tape for comfort. This measurement will allow you to select the most appropriate sized collar from the size range listed next to each collar size.
For example, if your dogs neck is 30cm, then you would select a 'medium' hound collar as the size range is from 28cm - 34cm.

The Tankerton tan leather hound dog collar with aged brass hardware is made from premium full-grain Italian leather, which is renowned for its exceptional quality and vibrant colours.We treat our greyhound and sighthound collars with a blend of oils and beeswax to ensure as it ages with your pet, it garners it's own natural patina.
Our gorgeous leather is 100% vegetable dyed meaning no toxins are used which is excellent for the environment and of course, your precious dog.

To ensure durability, as this collar has been naturally dyed please do not allow the collar to become saturated. If the collar does become wet whilst on a walk you'll need to allow the collar to dry naturally before reusing.

Personalisation
If you'd like your dogs' name or contact number hand-stamped into the collar please be aware that we can fit a maximum of 20 characters on to the collar.
Each character is in the Montserrat font and is 6mm in height.

For example, if your dogs neck is 34cm, then you would select a 'medium' dog collar as the size range is from 31.5cm - 39cm.

Care Guide
Do:
- Apply a small amount of leather wax to the collar periodically to maintain and protect it.
- Let the collar air dry naturally if it gets damp.
- Be aware that leather is a natural product, so slight color variations and imperfections are to be expected. These characteristics only add to its uniqueness.
Don't:
- Do not expose the collar to excessive water. This can make the leather brittle, affect its smoothness, and stain it.
- Our collars are vegetable-tanned, which means they have not been treated with chemicals. This is beneficial for your dog, as it reduces the risk of irritation. However, it also means that the collars are not waterproof. Do not allow your dog to swim while they are wearing the collar.
Please note that we recommend not choosing our red or navy blue leather collars for light or white-furred dogs.
