A bone-shaped dog tag in brushed black - the classic silhouette in the range's most understated finish, deep laser-engraved to order in our Surrey workshop. Pale lettering against black metal keeps the name easy to read; the back carries five lines of ID and contact details.
The quiet one that works hard
2mm-thick brushed stainless steel under a deep black face. Laser engraving cuts the details into the metal - no print, no paint - so nothing peels or fades however muddy the winter gets. Waterproof, rust-resistant, and the brushed finish keeps scuffs to itself.

Two stainless steel split rings included: small on the tag, large on the collar's D-ring.
Layout is up to you

UK tag rules, in one paragraph
Your dog should wear the owner's name and address in any public place - that is the rule. Phone numbers are optional by law and essential in practice. Name or symbol front; surname, house number, street, postcode and mobile on the back.

Care
Damp cloth after wet or sandy walks; avoid bleach and scourers; replace split rings when they start to open - the ring wears long before the tag.
Questions
Does black show scratches? The brushed finish hides everyday scuffs well - better than a polished tag. Deep gouges can show as pale marks, as on any coloured metal.
Which bone size? Medium (40 x 21mm) for most dogs; Large (50 x 29mm) for the big breeds and thicker collars.
Will the engraving fade? No - the lettering is cut into the steel, so there is no surface layer to wear away.
Do I have to engrave both sides? No - one or both. Name front, ID back is the classic layout.
