Pink-gold finish, working-dog toughness

Underneath the soft rose gold is 2mm-thick brushed stainless steel - the same hard-wearing metal as every tag we make. The engraving is lasered deep into the tag rather than printed or painted, so the lettering stays sharp through wet walks and rough play. Waterproof, rust-resistant, and light enough that they will not know it is there.

What UK law asks a dog tag to carry

The owner's name and address, whenever your dog is in a public place. A phone number is optional by law but essential in practice - it is how lost dogs come home the same afternoon. Name or symbol on the front; surname, house number, street, postcode and phone on the back.

Care

Wipe with a damp cloth after muddy, sandy or salty walks; skip bleach and scourers; replace any split ring that opens or stretches before it lets the tag go.

What shade is the rose gold? A warm, soft pink-gold - subtle rather than bright, and very good against cream, tan and grey collars.

Which bone size should I choose? Medium (40 x 21mm) for most dogs from puppy up; Large (50 x 29mm) for retrievers, shepherds and thicker collars.

Will the engraving fade? No - it is cut into the steel itself. No print, no paint, nothing to rub off.

Do I have to engrave both sides? No - one side is fine. Most choose name front, ID details back.
