The classic bone, in its boldest finish

Under the rainbow is 2mm-thick stainless steel - the same hard-wearing spec as every tag we cut. Each tag's mix of tones forms naturally in the finish, so yours is genuinely one of one. Lettering is engraved deep into the metal, never printed, so it cannot fade or peel. Waterproof, rust-resistant, and light enough for every day of the adventure.

What UK law puts on a dog tag

The owner's name and address, whenever the dog is out in public. A phone number is not required by law, but it is the first thing that gets a lost dog home - add a mobile. Name or symbol on the front; surname, house number, street, postcode and phone on the back.

Wipe with a damp cloth after wet, sandy or muddy walks. Skip bleach and scouring pads, and replace a split ring as soon as it starts to open.

Will mine look exactly like the photos? Close but not identical - the rainbow tones vary naturally from tag to tag. Yours will be the only one with its exact pattern.

Which bone size should I choose? Medium (40 x 21mm) suits most dogs from puppy to adult; Large (50 x 29mm) is scaled for the bigger breeds.

Will the engraving fade? No - the details are cut into the steel itself, so there is no surface print to wear off.

Do I have to engrave both sides? No - one side is fine. Most go name front, contact details back.
